5 Locally Sourced Coffees We’re Excited to Try

The Kimstore office skews to the millennial side and, as you can assume, consumes more coffee than the average office. From 3-in-1 coffee to pour-overs, to the suki of the Caffino Italia 2-in-1 Grind & Brew Automatic Coffee Maker, everyone in the office has their own preference.

It is so easy to get quality coffee beans these days and there are so many Pinoy brands to try that we’re having a hard time choosing which one to try first!

We’ve shortened our list and, in no particular order, present to you some locally sourced coffees that we are excited to try at the office.

 

SGD and Mirabueno

Right off the bat, SGD and Mirabueno coffee have to take the lead. These two won in the 5th International Contest of Locally Roasted Coffees held in Italy in 2019. SGD hails from Sagada while Mirabueno comes from Bukidnon with a great story on top of their beans. Both are under the Coffee Heritage Project, a private non-profit organization that focuses on the quality of coffee production.

 

Bo’s Coffee

Bo’s Coffee has got to be one of the oldest coffee brands in the Philippines by now. They started in 1996, which means they’re older than some of Kimstore’s staff. Bo’s offers single origin and signature blends from Mt. Apo, Sagada, Mt. Katinglad, Mt. Matutum.

 

Kalsada Coffee

Coffee culture has always been tied to equity for farmers. It led to the rise of Fair Trade coffee and the fight for the rights of coffee farmers. In the Philippines, among the champions for fair trade is Kalsada Coffee. In fact, they do more than the standards for fair trade by paying $1 more per pound.

 

Carry & Brew

Carry & Brew advocates eco-friendly and locally grown coffee with a focus on portability, hence the name. If you want to dig deeper into the nitty-gritty of coffee brewing, they also carry tools and equipment. By making your coffee brewing kit portable and reusable, Carry & Brew hopes to lessen waste like sachets, packets, disposable cups, and more.

 

 

A big worry when getting into coffee is the price. Of everything. Coffee beans will no doubt cost more than instant coffee. Add to that the cost of equipment, other consumables, and maybe you want a better mug?

Warranty

The date of purchase is considered as the first day of warranty period. Gadgets have life spans and naturally wear and tear over time. This also depends on your usage. All sales are final. Unit replacement due to change of color or product model indecision is not possible.

Basis for warranty

Please do not lose the warranty slip given to you upon purchase. No warranty slip, no warranty policy applies – this verifies that you bought the item with that specific serial number from us. No technical support is available for items bought outside of Kimstore. Refer to the warranty indicated in the item’s description on the website only. Kimstore does not reissue or keep your information from the warranty slip; it is the customer’s duty to store this form in a safe area.

For items past warranty period

Items past their warranty period can still be diagnosed and repaired if possible. The customer however shall shoulder expenses for parts, labor, and shipping.

Charges

To keep up with global economic challenges, Kimstore.com will be charging an additional Processing Fee on orders starting November 8, 2023. A small fee amounting to 2.5% of the entire order will be automatically computed and added at checkout. The fee will also reflect on your delivery receipt.

Installment

Installment payments are available through Billease, Atome, and options provided by GCash and Maya.

For Credit Card and Debit Cardholders, we accept one-time straight payments via Paymaya and Paymongo. Just choose “Online Payment” upon checkout for guided instructions on how to proceed with your payment.

E-WALLET thru GCash, GrabPay, and Maya (formerly PayMaya)

GCash payments are only done through QR Code. Kimstore does not accept GCash transfers via mobile number.

NON-BANK PAYMENTS OPTIONS

Non-Bank payment options can be made via Cebuana Lhuillier

CASH ON PICK-UP

Cash on Pick-up are available thru Technopop partner stores with minimum reservation fee of Php 500.00

CASH ON DELIVERY

Order now and pay when your item arrives at your front door! Please note that we have limited a maximum of Php 20,000 purchase limit for Cash-on-Delivery (COD) transactions for Metro-Manila and provincial areas.

BANK TRANSFER/DEPOSIT

Bank transfer can be made via local banks listed below: PNB, BDO, UnionBank.

Returns and Replacements

When you receive your order, please take a video of your unboxing and make sure all items in your order are received and have no external defects. If Kimstore does not receive any report of external defect within twenty four (24 hours) from receipt of your item it means that you received it free from external defect. Documenting your receipt and unboxing can help in case of disputes with the courier or other problems with your order.
