Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Specs Leaked!

We’re probably only a couple of days away from the official release but even more leaks have now resurfaced regarding Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge. Now, we have a much closer look at aspects like the camera, battery capacity, and even the materials used.

And as expected, the thin design is shaping up to be something promising albeit with a few considerations to keep in mind before you decide if this is the next Galaxy phone for you!

Very slim, very light

Obviously the phone’s wafer-thin profile is the biggest conversation starter surrounding this device. Sitting at just 5.85mm thick, that’s even thinner than the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ we’ve got in the shop, which was around 6.8mm. However, it’s also rather light, weighing in at just 163g.

Of course, it manages to achieve that thin profile with a few compromises here and there. Fortunately, the display isn’t one of them. The Galaxy S25 Edge reportedly gets a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, with a 1440p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate; similar to the thicker Galaxy S25+.

But it does compromise on the battery. It’s now using a 3,900mAh cell; the smallest capacity in the entire Galaxy S25 lineup. Overall battery life is very variable of course, and how much you can get out of it in a day depends on your use case.

Fortunately, the rest of the physical hardware appears quite good based on the leaks. It retains the premium titanium frame and Gorilla Glass protection on both the front and rear panel.

Thin design, elite performance

Like the rest of the Galaxy S25 lineup, the Galaxy S25 Edge comes with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, providing plenty of power and performance for all your apps, games, and those nifty Galaxy AI features you might use.

This is all backed by 12GB of RAM and at least 128GB of non-expandable UFS storage which hopefully won’t be the only configuration available. Apps and games are getting much bigger so bigger storage is always appreciated. And yes, the phone will be launching with the Android 15-based One UI 7.

Aside from the non-expandable storage, the only other question would be about cooling. Under heavier tasks and really intensive games, the Snapdragon 8 Elite does heat up a fair bit in order to push that performance further. Phones like the Galaxy S25 Ultra come with solutions like vapor chambers in order to tame that heat but a phone as thin as the Galaxy S25 Edge may not have much room in its frame for it.

Camera tech

The cameras are another area where the Galaxy S25 Edge makes compromises for the sake of its slim and light design. And that’s through the omission of a telephoto camera, greatly reducing your ability to take zoomed in, detailed shots.

That means you’ll have to rely a lot on the main camera. Fortunately, the phone doesn’t disappoint on this front. You get a large 200MP main camera at f/1.7 aperture and of course, OIS, to ensure a more stable image. The second camera is a 12MP ultrawide, and there’s also a 12MP selfie camera.

Pretty modest camera specs except for that main camera, which is still impressive given the design.
