Tecno unveils AI-centered Tecno Megabook T16 Pro Ultra!

Android maker Tecno has taken to Mobile World Conference (MWC) 2024 to exhibit their powerful premium ultrabook: the Tecno Megabook T16 Pro Ultra. Powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors, this laptop is promising excellent performance as well as a suite of AI features thanks to the integrated NPU.

With that said, here’s everything we know about Tecno’s latest ultrabook:

Sleek design with 2.5K

Right off the bat, we can see that Tecno has opted for a clean and sleek look for their laptop, coming in with this understated bright silver color. In a way, it reminds us of a Macbook Pro with the minimal branding used throughout the chassis.

But while the laptop’s quite thin and lightweight, you do get an impressive 16-inch, 2.5K resolution display, giving you plenty of screen space to work with. Dubbed their “Expanded Horizon” screen, this display boasts a 16:10 golden aspect ratio and thin bezels all over.

At the bottom, you get some padding to help the laptop cling to a table as well as the assorted grills that act as speakers and air intake. On the sides, you get a wide assortment of ports you can use for all your peripherals.

Up the performance and efficiency with Intel Core Ultra!

The main draw of course, is all that power under the hood. The Tecno Megabook T16 Pro Ultra can be equipped with either an Intel Core Ultra 5 or Core Ultra 7 processor; both of which are capable of providing sufficient power for nearly all your use cases, barring perhaps, really demanding games.

Additionally, Tecno promises up to 22 hours of battery life with this new ultrabook by shipping it with a massive 99.99wh battery. They’re even throwing in a 100W GaN fast charger with the device, letting you top up in just a couple of minutes.

Aside from their choice of processor, customers can also choose to spec this laptop with 16GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 1 TB of PCIE 4.0 SSD storage. Basically, your storage options are just as equally fast.

New AI Capabilities

The Tecno Megabook T16 Pro Ultra’s promises a number of built-in AI functionalities. Right away, the brand touts its own image generation AI, which generates your pictures based on your prompts. Tecno claims that it takes around 1 to 6 seconds to do so too, depending on the resolution you need.

Other AI features promised include an AI assistant for video conferencing, helping provide eye gaze correction and improved background blur. And yes, they have an AI encoder as well, making for intelligent noise cancellation which should hopefully help get your points across during presentations.

It’s a very compelling package that’s for sure, especially if like their mobile devices, it’s made available at a more affordable price. We’re definitely keeping a close eye on this when it’s made available locally.
