The Motorola Razr Fold is Unfolding this 2026!

Motorola’s expanding its foldable phone offering with their first book-style phone in the Motorola Razr Fold, formally teased at CES 2026. This comes after multiple generations of clamshell foldables, especially as the category as a whole appears to be increasing in popularity among enthusiasts.

And while some official specs aren’t fully available yet, we do have a preview of what we can expect from this new foldable phone.

Stylus Support Included

Motorola’s new phone is reportedly designed with productivity in mind. It’s been given an 8.1-inch LTPO OLED when fully opened with up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2K resolution, providing sufficient space to multitask between two open apps at once. And yes, it does include stylus support for all your creative tasks.

Speaking of the stylus, Motorola is reportedly calling theirs the “Pen Ultra” and it will be included in the Razr Fold package, complete with its own charging and storage case. It’s a USI stylus as well so the pen should work with your other existing devices.

Right off the bat, this is looking like it’s going to be the main differentiator between it and the Galaxy Z Fold7, which recently omitted its stylus in favor of a slimmer design. Unless the giant brings it back in a potential Galaxy Z Fold8.

Flagship Performance

As far as performance goes, it should be on par with many other flagships coming out this year as it sports the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 under the hood. Motorola hasn’t confirmed what RAM options we’re getting but it will reportedly come with 256GB and 512GB options.

Of course, there’s a dash of AI in this phone as with any modern flagship. In the case of Moto AI, it works more like a manager for all other related services like Perplexity, Gemini etc. It’s not explicitly the feature that will swing a buyer to the Razr but it is there for people who want it.

This new Razr Fold will be launching with Android 16, with Motorola confirming it for seven major OS updates and up to seven years of security updates on par with many of the big brands.
