Building a stronger, better, and more resilient Philippine business community requires effort and participation from all those involved.
Which is why Kimstore joins the Metro Manila Business Conference (MMBC) 2026; a milestone event attended by more than 400 delegates from private and government sectors. After all, the theme “Navigating Energy, Trade, and Security for Resilient Business and Stronger ASEAN”, is a timely topic for us to explore in this digital age.
Four Key Pillars of Industry
Our discussion primarily revolved around the four key pillars for our business: Infrastructure, Digital Economy, Energy Transition, and Consumer Growth. After all, we probably have our own stories and pain points when it comes to these factors.
Some of these are fairly self-explanatory. Our ‘Digital Economy’ has steadily matured with the rise of social selling and platforms allowing individuals such as myself, to set up their own business with nothing but a dream and a small capital expense. Meanwhile ‘Consumer Growth’ is a goal many of us have, with the digital economy helping us tap into previously unseen markets both domestically and worldwide.
But the other two pillars, Infrastructure and Energy Transition, definitely deserved a bit more focus during our talk.
After all, these are the factors most affected by global events and disruptions outside of our immediate control. Matters of energy security are at the forefront of everyone’s minds at the event, given the current events in the Middle East, exposing areas for improvement here in the region. We’ve all felt the brunt of it, from rising operational costs to significant delays in logistics.
Yet it also highlighted opportunities for us to improve. Once again, it all boils down to collective action within ASEAN to strengthen our own energy supply by looking to other sources and building the infrastructure needed to support it.
Growth Through Collaboration
It’s important to remember that no business truly grows in isolation. While we may compete on our products, services, and even customers, at the end of the day, we all rely on the same fundamental principles and are subject to the same global challenges. And it’s only through consistent collaboration and continuous innovation can we all truly weather the storm and thrive in our respective industries.
My work with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), is meant to reflect that. And it’s why I would like to invite you, whether you’re a small business owner or an established industry player, to join our community. Your voice, your ideas–they’re always welcome when it comes to discussing our future.
Though it may feel small for now, we all have a part to play in building a better, stronger business community.
