Got confidence in your Candy Crush skills? The Candy Crush All-Star Tournament is underway, with the first round of the semi finals starting on April 15th to April 18th at 8:00 PM Eastern Time or 8:00 AM in our local timezone.
Right now, players are competing in-game for a chance to get an invitation to the live finals in London, where a whopping $250,000 grand prize awaits the champion! Not only that, but three winners will also be awarded a championship ring designed by Atlanta-based jeweler Icebox with a combined total of around $73,000 (around $24,000 for each ring)!
That’s just a little shy of 14 million when converted to Philippine peso by the way! And that’s before we add the value of the championship ring at around 1.3 million pesos!
How does the tournament work?
The All-Stars tournament was free-to-enter for any participant over 18 years old and was at least Level 25 or higher in the game when the event went live last March 23.
For the duration of the event, players will be tasked with collecting special All-Stars candies popping up at any given stage in the tournament. Participants who’ve collected the most All-Star candies will be displaced in the game’s leaderboard showing up to 49 other participants.
Players need to finish first place in a tournament leaderboard and hold on to that spot for a number of hours in order to qualify for the next stage of the game.
Ten winners of the 3rd semi final round will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the finals taking place in London on May 25, where they’ll compete for the $250K grand prize.

Fernanda Romano, Chief Marketing Officer of Candy Crush Developer says that the cash prize and the rings are among the largest prizes ever for a casual mobile game.
“The amount of dedication and passion our players put into the tournament is incredible, so it only seems right to reward them like the true champions they are. Candy Crush All Stars is one of the biggest tournaments on the planeet, and we want to make sure the rewards for our winners reflect that.
“So this year, to mark King’s 20th anniversary, we’re giving away our biggest prize ever. Taking inspiration from the world’s largest sporting events, three finalists can win an epic candified championship ring that has Saweetie’s seal of approval alongside the biggest prize pot ever announced for a casual mobile game.”
