Tecno Camon 30, Tecno Camon 30 5G, and Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G Arrives!
First shown off at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, Tecno’s Camon 30 line has finally gone official! Consisting of the Tecno Camon 30, Tecno Camon 30 5G, and the more advanced Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G, all three appear to share the same design language as well as a number of key specs.
In a way, it does remind us of the previous line like the Tecno Camon 19 and 20 line. In order to really see the differences across models, we’ll have to take a quick look at them one-by-one here:
Tecno Camon 30
Let’s start with the most basic model. The Tecno Camon 30 is the line’s most affordable option, coming in with a MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate, which does grant it decent performance and efficiency albeit, without 5G. You also get a more standard 50 MP main camera with OIS, a basic 2 MP depth sensor, and a 50 MP selfie camera with autofocus.
Nonetheless, it does pack a very good AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth and enjoyable experience. Sound is adequate as well, thanks to its dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Aesthetics are quite nice, coming in Iceland Basaltic Dark, Uyuni Salt White, and Sahara Sand Brown. The brown one, in particular, is made with this unique vegan-leather material, granting a hydrophobic touch to even the sweatiest palms.
Tecno Camon 30 5G
Likewise, the Tecno Camon 30 5G is very similar to the base model. This time though, it’s now equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate, granting it 5G capabilities as per the name. Additionally, the Dimensity chipset also provides a significant performance uplift compared to its Helio G99 counterpart, especially when it comes to mobile games.
Other than that, the phone is basically identical to the 4G version, with the exception of one available colorway. Rather than the Sahara Sand Brown, you get the Emerald Lake Green, with the leader texture almost appearing as ripples on the water’s surface. The Iceland Basaltic Dark, and Uyuni Salt White however, are shared between the two.

Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G
Finally, we get to the top-spec variant with the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G. It packs the same powerful Dimensity 8200 Ultimate for excellent performance as well as 5G capabilities. Additionally, its camera array had been improved to a triple-lens setup, with a 50 MP main camera + OIS, and a 50 MP ultrawide for capturing those stunning landscapes. And yes, it also gets a 50 MP selfie camera with autofocus.
The Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G even comes with their own AI technology used for editing and generating photos based on the shots you take, allowing you to have your own fun! You even come with your own Magic Eraser tool, allowing you to get rid of unwanted elements in your photos.
The phone also comes with 12GB RAM with extended memory capabilities, giving you 12GB more to work with for more headroom. To help with this, the phone’s been bumped to up to 512GB of storage, which also lets you hold more apps and hi-res images.
You do only get two color options though: The leather-like textured Alps Snowy Silver, and the Iceland Basaltic Dark textured glass. Classy options for sure, but a little bit normal compared to the lower-specced versions.
