Quick Review: Infinix Note 30 VIP

Stepping up from the other phones in the Note 30 line, the Infinix Note 30 VIP brings in vastly upgraded specs and components, such as a nicer screen, stronger processor, and even wireless charging for enthusiasts out there. And it’s able to do this while still coming in at a mid range price point, making it more accessible to interested buyers out there.

But what exactly do you get when you buy the Infinix Note 30 VIP? And is it the right phone for you? Read on below to see what you should expect:

Buy it if…

You want amazing specs at a more affordable price

The Infinix Note 30 VIP features very excellent specs that allow it to outperform even phones above its price point. You get a fast 120Hz AMOLED display that offers great colors and a smooth scrolling experience in both apps and games.

Likewise, the Dimensity 8050 powering the phone is plenty powerful for most apps and games and you even get a whopping 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage to go along with it. You can even expand your storage with an SD card should you need more space for your photos and games.

You want a phone with wireless charging

In addition to its 68W wired charging adapter, the Infinix Note 30 VIP also has support for 50W wireless charging, giving you another fast and convenient option. It even comes with a wireless charger in the box though that one is only rated for 15W.

You play lots of mobile games

The Dimensity 8050 is quite a powerful processor for mobile gaming. Popular titles like Call of Duty Mobile or Mobile Legends run very smoothly at high settings. Even a heavier game like Genshin Impact runs very well though we do recommend turning settings down to Medium for better stability.

Additionally, the phone also has bypass charging, which directs power from the charger straight to the motherboard. Kind of handy when you play a lot and need to plug in the phone in order to continue.

Don’t buy it if…

You want to get the latest versions of Android immediately

If you’re a power user and enthusiast who wants to experience the latest version of Android, then you might want to look elsewhere. While the hardware is quite good, Infinix does take a while to update their OS to the latest version.

If you’re after a phone that receives the latest updates fast, then you might want to look at a Pixel such as the Google Pixel 7. It runs stock Android and usually gets updates the fastest, though it is a lot more expensive.

You need a telephoto lens

While the Infinix Note 30 VIPs 108 MP main camera is really good at taking impressive photos, there may be times when you want more specialized lenses. For example, a nice telephoto lens can be very useful at capturing subjects in the distance, without losing much detail or color.

Fortunately, you don’t need to look for super expensive phones for these lenses. For example, the Infinix Zero X Pro offers a similar 108 MP main camera and a telephoto lens at a more affordable price point.

You want something a bit more affordable

While we think the Infinix Note 30 VIP’s price point is already quite affordable, you might be on the lookout for something cheaper. Fortunately, you have many options in that segment and you don’t even have to compromise much on specs for that.

For example, both the Infinix Note 30 5G and the Infinix Note 30 4G come in at below PHP 10,000, while providing you plenty of processing power for your apps and games albeit, not as high as the Note 30 VIP.
