Redmi Note 15 5G Launches in the Philippines!
The midrange has grown with the arrival of the Redmi Note 15 lineup here in the Philippines! The phones were shown off during a special launch event at Cebu last January 15 where visitors got a chance to see them in actual use, giving us a rundown of its upgraded specs and improved durability and build.
We’ve taken down some notes on the new lineup which we’ve gathered here. As a natural step up from the previous Redmi Note 14, there’s a couple of things that really stood out.
Four New Midrange Phones, All Titan Tough

The lineup consists of four different phones, all of which are marketed with their “Titan-Tough Durability”, demonstrating things like drop resistance and water resistance in their presentation. Redmi claims there’s a new structure built into the frame as well as Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for even more durability.
Anyway, there’s four models, two of which are just the 4G and 5G versions of the base Redmi Note 15. The other two are the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G; both of which come with big 200MP cameras with 1 ¼-inch sensors. This should allow them to take sharper photos even under low-light conditions.
On the other hand, the base Redmi Note 15 only gets 108MP shooters. The 4G version doesn’t get the 8MP ultrawide the other three gets however. And apart from the Pro+, all phones come with 20MP selfie cameras.
The Thinnest Redmi Note to Date?

Redmi has also jumped on the thin and light trend with the Redmi Note 15 5G. Nothing as drastic as the flagship iPhone Air for sure but it’s still noticeable in the hand. Especially when you consider how light it is at 178g.
That doesn’t mean it’s a small phone of course. Its display measures 6.7-inches diagonally, giving you plenty of space for watching videos or movies on the go. It’s a curved display as well, which should provide a comfortable grip. Fans of flatter displays and frames might find it a bit off.
Note that the 5G and 4G variants of the Redmi Note 15 have some differences in hardware. The 5G is slimmer and lighter but that’s because it has a smaller 5,520mAh battery compared to the 6,000mAh unit in the 4G. The 5G does use a silicon-carbon battery however, complete with faster 45W charging speeds for better efficiency and reliability.

Four Different Processors
The lineup uses a range of MediaTek and Qualcomm processors throughout the lineup. For example, the Pro+ carries a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 while the Pro gets the Dimensity 7400 Ultra. The 5G-capable Redmi Note 15 gets the Snapdragon 6 Gen3, while the 4G variant is stuck with the Helio G100 Ultra.
Performance should be fairly similar across the four phones when it comes to day-to-day streaming, browsing, or social media posting. When it comes to gaming, the Pro phones will obviously have the advantage due to their stronger processors. Still, the base Redmi Note 15 5G should be able to deliver close to comparable performance, even when you factor in its thin and light design.
The Redmi Note 15 4G starts at ₱9,999, while its 5G variant starts at ₱12,999. The Pro variants are a lot more expensive, with the base Pro starting at ₱19,999 and the Pro+ at ₱27,999.
