Samsung Galaxy FE Returns with the S23 FE, Tab S9 FE, and Buds FE!
Samsung’s Galaxy FE series makes a return this 2023 not just with the Galaxy S23 FE, but also with the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and FE Plus, and the Galaxy Buds FE! Initially short for “fan-edition”, the Galaxy FE devices are meant to deliver flagship-tier specs and features to a more mid-range price point, making them a great entry point to the brand’s premium experience.
Excited? So are we! Here’s a quick rundown on what we might expect from these new FE devices coming to stores this October!
Galaxy S23 FE
First up is the Galaxy S23 FE, a phone that looks exactly like its older Galaxy S23 and S23+ siblings. However, it does get its own set of unique colors and triple camera array, bumping the main shooter up to 50 MP; a big upgrade from the S21 FE’s 12 MP sensor. You also get a 10 MP ultrawide and 8 MP telephoto rounding out the package.
Its display is equally as impressive. You get a 6.4” Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel that can reach 120Hz refresh rates at FHD+ resolution. So all of your videos, photos, and games should look nice, with great inky blacks and excellent color reproduction.
Speaking of games (and productivity), the Galaxy S23 FE will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. So not as fast as the “for Galaxy” chips its more expensive brethren have but, it should still give you flagship performance for even the most demanding tasks. Way better than the Galaxy S21 FE too!
Beyond that, you get a 4,500mAh battery which Samsung claims is enough for your phone to last a whole day of use as well as 8 GB RAM and 128 or 256 GB of non-expandable storage.
Galaxy Tab S9 FE and S9 FE+
Talk about fast! The Galaxy Tab S9 FE’s a big surprise, considering the Tab S9 lineup was just released last August. We’re also getting two models here: the 10.9” (2304 x 1440) Tab S9 FE, and the bigger 12.4” (2560 x 1600) Tab S9 FE+.
Both models should be similar in terms of looks but they do differ in some internal specs. For one, the Tab S9 FE comes with 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage or 8 GB RAM/256 GB of storage. The Tab S9 FE+ starts with 8 GB RAM/128 GB storage or 12 GB GB RAM/256 GB of storage.
Likewise, the Tab S9 FE+ also comes with a bigger 10,090mAh battery compared to the Tab S9 FE’s 8,000mAh battery. Both tablets should easily provide power to last you the whole day so you can freely pick the size you’re more comfortable with.
Both tablets are also powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1380; the same chipset powering the Galaxy A54, giving you a great idea of what kind of performance to expect. They’re also IP68 rated, so you can technically take them with you to the pool. (Be careful with saltwater though!)

Finally, we get to the last of surprises: the Galaxy Buds FE! Delivering on the brand’s wireless audio experience, the Buds FE should provide you with a comfortable listening experience and a “sound that fits just right” at a more affordable price point!
