Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 Announced

It’s official. Samsung has just announced the date for their next Galaxy Unpacked event and it’s going to be held in New York City on July 9, 2025. It will be the second Unpacked for the year and based on past trends and everything we know thus far, we’re definitely going to see the next crop of foldable phones here.

Those aren’t all though. Samsung’s also looking like they’re expanding the ecosystem with the addition of three new Galaxy Watches too. Check out the main announcements here:

Samsung’s latest foldables will definitely show up

Samsung has already launched a teaser talking about an “ultra foldable” experience, which is definitely referring to the new Z-series phones. We’ve already got plenty of leaked information about the Galaxy Z Fold7 of course. At roughly 9mm when closed up, it’s definitely raising some questions on how it’s going to handle cooling as well as its camera lenses.

Initially, this whole “ultra experience” marketing was interpreted to be a separate Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra but it’s looking like it’s just referring to the base Galaxy Z Fold7.

And of course, there’s also the Galaxy Z Flip7; the brand’s next clamshell phone design. There’s not a lot of concrete information about this model other than it might reportedly come much thinner than the previous Galaxy Z Flip6. There’s probably a reason for this:

These two phones will now be joined by the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE; a more affordable option for trying out Galaxy foldables. It’s no surprise that a lot of information coming out pertains to this model. Coupled with the rumored Galaxy Core earbuds, it really does look like they’re looking to make their cutting edge tech a bit more affordable in the future.

New Galaxy Watch announcements

Apart from the phones, we’re probably getting more announcements about the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup, considering all the leaks we’ve gotten about them so far. And from the renders available from leaker Evan Blass, all three models come with a distinct look that sets them apart from each other.

For the Galaxy Watch 8, Samsung has opted to deliver this odd “squircle” design for the main display. It’s like a circular watch face on a square-ish body. It definitely looked quite divisive for others who’ve also tuned in to the leak, especially when compared to the completely round design of the Galaxy Watch 7.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic looks much thicker and heavier than the non-classic variant. The white colorway shown off definitely gives it more of an analog look which some users will definitely enjoy.

Finally, the new Galaxy Watch Ultra is endowed with a rugged blue look. It does keep the same “squircle” design as the standard Galaxy Watch 8 so your mileage may vary with that one. Apart from the Titanium Blue version seen here, we might also get it in both Titanium Silver and Titanium Gray.
