Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE Launching as Affordable Alternative
Foldable phones have always been quite expensive. Sure, sometimes we’ll get an affordable one but if you want a folding phone that also offers cutting-edge flagship performance, you need to be prepared to shell out quite a bit. As such, we are kind of optimistic about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE which is billed as a budget-friendly alternative.
Sure, it’s not going to be as cheap as something like the Galaxy A06 but if it can come down to around the base Galaxy S25’s level then it should be good right? Well, that depends on what it offers under the hood and around the chassis.
A Trio of New Phones
The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE will accompany two other foldables; the super thin Galaxy Z Fold7 and the regular Galaxy Z Flip7. All three of them are slated for launch this July. There’s no word on pricing yet on all three models.
Some of its leaked specs include Samsung’s own Exynos 2400 chipset; definitely a step down from the Snapdragon 8 Elite launching on the more premium models but definitely more than capable of delivering a flagship experience as with the base Galaxy S24. Wired charging speeds appear to be capped at 25W but no word on how big the battery is inside.
You get a 6.7-inch foldable OLED with a 3.4-inch cover screen according to the renders. Likewise, the camera hardware looks to be similar to the standard Galaxy Z Flip7. So similar hardware to its predecessor with much of the improvements being software improvements.

Given this and the leaks surrounding the Galaxy Buds Core, it seems Samsung is really making a push towards more affordable devices. Hopefully it’s able to do so without compromising too much on the core experience offered by its devices.
