1000 Filipino Stories: A Tecno Camon 30 Launch Event
Showcased as part of their “1000 Filipino Stories”, Tecno’s opted to spotlight their smartphones’ vlogging and camera capabilities with the all new Tecno Camon 30 lineup! Guests will be able to see the phone for themselves at their special launch event at the Green Sun Hotel at Makati and personally see what’s all new with this year’s new devices.
Spoiler alert: Everything appears to have been improved across the board. So let’s get to it:
Tecno Camon 30: Overview
The Tecno Camon 30 lineup consists of four new phones, three of which we’ve already taken a cursory look at before here. These are the Tecno Camon 30 4G, the Tecno Camon 30 5G, the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G, and the more premium Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G!
Most of them are quite similar to each other in terms of specs and overall build, only having minor differences. All of them have opted to go with MediaTek’s chipsets, with both the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G, and the Camon 30 Premier 5G sporting the Dimensity 8200 Ultra. The cheaper 4G version will come with a Helio G99 Ultimate instead while the Tecno Camon 30 5G will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 7020 5G.
Tecno’s also decided to give all of their phones the 120Hz AMOLED treatment so you can enjoy a vibrant and responsive experience across your apps and games. So for anyone looking to just have a smooth experience for their day-to-day, should be just fine with the base Tecno Camon 30 5G, which you can already get here at Kimstore!
For now though, we’ve only seen the Tecno Camon 30 5G and the Camon 30 Premier 5G up for grabs this early. We’re quite confident both the 4G variant and the Camon 30 Pro 5G will eventually make their way here though. After all, the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G is the official tournament smartphone for the Season 3 Finals of the Farlight 84 Philippine Championship!

Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G
The most premium variant we’ll take a look at is the Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G. Designed from the ground up for the best vlogging experience, the Premier comes with a Sony IMX 890 Quad 50MP camera system; three lenses on the back, and of course, the selfie camera.
This is then paired with a specialized Sony Imaging Chip, for improved lossless processing effects, night-vision, and 4K video capabilities. And yes, it does come with OIS for more stable shots. You even get good detail when shooting from afar, thanks to the 50MP periscope telephoto and 3x optical zoom!
Like the rest of the lineup, the Premier’s also sported their “Tech-Art Leather” back, leading to a more elegant feel in the hand. The phone even boasts a hydrophobic touch, keeping your grip comfortable even with sweaty hands.
The phone’s slated to come with up to 512GB of storage, as well as 12GB of RAM. There’s also an extended RAM function for a whopping 24GB of RAM all-in-all, giving you all the headroom you need for games and for shooting 4K videos while having other apps open.
The smartphone’s available in Hawaii Lava Black and Alps Snowy Silver here in the Philippines. There’s a special LOEWE Design Edition in green and we’ll definitely keep an eye out for that variant too!
Philippine Pricing and Release Date
